    For the 2025-2026 School Year


    Purpose:
    The special needs classroom school nurse provides health services for assigned student(s) with disabilities who receive their special education and related services through a center-based special education classroom. The goal is to provide medical services while maintaining the student(s) in the educational environment (i.e., special education classroom, general education classroom, playground, bus/van, etc.). This nurse position may also provide medical care for students on their bus/van ride to school.

    Qualifications:

     
    • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing
    • Registered Nurse License
    • Prior experience working with children preferred in a special needs school setting preferred, but not required
     

     
    Starting Salary: Salary commensurate with degrees held and years of experience
               ADN - $46,432
               BSN - $48,666
               MSN - $51,982

    Requirements:
    All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you’ve had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results.  If it’s been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test.  Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
    Must submit a pre employment physical prior to first day of work.
