Our Mission Champions

 

We are seeking Mission Champions—individuals who are problem solvers at heart and who enjoy delivering best-in-class, empathetic service. Our Champions focus on building genuine connections with our community members, donors, and volunteers. This role is crucial in ensuring that every interaction reflects the compassion and integrity of the Neighborhood Christian Center.

 

A Day in the Life of a Mission Champion

 

  • You will be working diligently with our community, providing support and solutions related to the core functions of the Center:
  • Program & Event Support: Answering questions regarding eligibility, registration, scheduling, and logistics for our community programs (e.g., educational classes, food drives, youth services).
  • Donor & Volunteer Care: Handling general inquiries regarding donations, receipt requests, tax documentation, and volunteer opportunities.
  • General Inquiries: Providing basic information, troubleshooting website access, and directing complex inquiries to the appropriate department (e.g., Finance, Outreach).
  • Issue Resolution: Utilizing your unique set of listening and troubleshooting skills to own customer interactions with a goal of one-call resolution, ensuring the individual feels assisted in the supportive manner they deserve.

Required Champion Skillset (Qualifications)

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience interacting with customers/clients, solving problems, and creating positive connections.
  • Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Desire to actively engage, listen, and show empathy to diverse community members.
  • Ability to provide solutions in a fast-paced environment, focusing on one-call resolution.
  • Ability to learn new non-profit concepts and program details quickly and apply those learnings in real-time.

Technical Requirements for Remote Work

  • Internet: Verified, secure, high-speed internet connection (minimum recommended: 5 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download).
  • Workstation: A dedicated, quiet, and ergonomic home workspace free from background noise.
  • Equipment: All equipment will be provided by the company.
