Job Description

Summary 

The Instructor will deliver and implement the Pharmacy Technician program in an online format, educating students in alignment with curriculum standards and objectives.

 

Essential Functions

  • Conduct online courses in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Facilitate weekly synchronous instructional sessions.

  • Provide feedback on assignments and support students struggling with course content.

  • Maintain and record grades per policy; submit final grades at the end of each course.

  • Proactively support retention by contacting non-engaged students via phone, text, or email, and advising on academic progress and participation.

  • Respond to student communication within 24 hours and grade assignments within 48 hours of due dates.

  • Direct students with questions about financial aid, transcripts, etc., to the appropriate personnel.

  • Engage in required professional development and continuing education.

  • Attend faculty meetings—either synchronously or asynchronously.

  • Stay up-to-date on professional trends and advancements in technology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a hospital-based program, or an international equivalent. OR

  • Four (4) years of relevant training/experience for non-accredited program graduates.

  • Three (3) years of practical experience in a pharmacy technician setting.

  • Possession of current licenses, certifications, or designations required by local, state, or federal law.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other computer software.
