Job Description

As a Process Operator, this role is responsible for the receiving, CIP (Clean-in-Place), and load-out of milk, cream, and condensed skim. This role ensures proper food safety practices, sanitation, and product quality throughout the process. The Process Operator performs accurate computer data entry, coordinates tanker traffic, inspects equipment, and maintains compliance with all SOPs, HACCP guidelines, and UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies. 



 



Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 



The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 



 





  • Safely and efficiently unload product tankers into silos. 







  • Perform CIP (Clean-In-Place) on tankers, silos, fill lines, and receiving/loadout lines. 







  • Hygienically load cream and condensed skim tankers. 







  • Perform troubleshooting and basic preventative maintenance. 







  • Conduct quality testing and ensure procedures are completed prior to unloading/loading. 







  • Coordinate tanker traffic with Yard Foreman and Drivers. 







  • Maintain accurate and legible records. 







  • Conduct regular sanitation and maintain a clean work area 







  • Identify and report deficiencies in Food Safety, Quality, and GMP compliance. 







  • Regularly inspect lines and equipment to resolve quality issues. 







  • Adhere to all UDA Safety, SOPs, HACCP, and GMP policies 







  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

 



Skills & Abilities:  





  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 







  • Ability to operate and sanitize equipment. 







  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills. 







  • Ability to read, hear, speak, comprehend, and follow SOPs and verbal instructions. 







  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 







  • Ability to use common math 





 



Experience: Required: 





  • Knowledge of food manufacturing practices. 







  • Basic computer and math skills. 





 



Experience: Preferred:  



 





  • Dairy Manufacturing experience  





 



Education/Certifications:  





  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
