rhi is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager experienced in Technology Transformation to join our clients team in KL, Malaysia on a contract until June 2027.

This role leads a complex, multi‑year technology transformation program focused on modernising legacy platforms, reducing external dependencies, and transitioning services onto strategic internal systems.
You will operate at the intersection of architecture, delivery, product, and senior stakeholders, shaping outcomes from early discovery through to execution, migration, and legacy decommissioning. This is a hands‑on delivery leadership role requiring strong execution discipline, clear communication, and the ability to drive accountability and transparency across multiple teams

- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale technology transformation program, reducing legacy complexity and improving platform sustainability.
- Own the integrated program roadmap across multiple workstreams, coordinating delivery across internal technology teams and external partners.
- Drive a discovery‑led delivery approach, coordinating architects and business analysts to assess current state, define requirements, and design target solutions prior to build.
- Ensure high‑quality handover from discovery into delivery, translating designs and requirements into clear backlogs, delivery plans, and migration approaches.
- Manage complex application and service transitions, including cutover planning, data migration, and decommissioning of legacy capabilities.
- Lead vendor engagement and delivery management, including scope definition, statement‑of‑work oversight, delivery sequencing, and performance management.
- Establish and run robust program governance, including senior forums, reporting cadence, risk and issue management, and decision support.
- Operate effectively within Agile delivery environments, aligning program milestones to sprint‑based execution models.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Technical Leads to prioritise work, manage cross‑team dependencies, and influence execution across multiple squads.
Qualifications:
About you:
- Minimum 10 years experience as a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager delivering large, complex technology transformation initiatives.
- Strong background in technical delivery, including platform modernisation, system replacement, or large‑scale re‑platforming programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead delivery teams, not just coordinate them — setting expectations, following through, and holding teams accountable for outcomes.
- Strong practical experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) (or equivalent tools) to manage backlogs, run sprints, track delivery, and provide transparency.
- Comfortable operating in Agile and hybrid delivery models, with a pragmatic, outcomes‑focused mindset.
- Experience working closely with architects, engineers, and product managers in complex, matrixed organisations.
- Proven capability managing multiple vendors alongside internal delivery teams, including commercial and delivery accountability.
- Strong financial management skills, including ownership of multi‑year budgets, forecasting, and vendor spend.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and delivery topics to senior stakeholders.
