    Position Title: Math Teacher (Middle School)
    Qualifications: 
    Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Middle School Education or Mathematics. Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in subject area. Must obtain required district and building-specific training.
    Preferred: Previous Teaching Experience
     
    FLSA: Exempt
    Salary Schedule: Per-Approved Teacher Salary Schedule
    Direct Report: Building Principal
    Terms of Employment:  9 Month
    Eligible for emergency telework: Yes
     
    Purpose: Provide mathematics instruction tailored to student needs in a middle school setting.  Develop and deliver curriculum designed to help students achieve district standards.  Manage student academic, physical, social, and emotional needs.  Facilitate academic and interpersonal success through academic courses and approved curriculum. 

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
    • To “telework” when requested by the District.
    • Provide direct mathematics instruction that complies with district standards.
    • Assess student achievement and tailor instruction based on assessment results.
    • Participate in faculty meetings and school committees.
    • Communicate with students and parents regarding student progress.
    • Complete and submit grading and other required paperwork in a timely manner.
    • Document student progress, activities, and outcomes.
    • Manage student behavior and provide appropriate interventions. 
    • Provide after-school tutoring, as necessary.
    • Participate in required continuous education training and obtain mandatory credits
    • Other assigned duties
