Job Description

PLZ Corp Quality Control Technicians have a diverse set of responsibilities and duties.  PLZ Corp operates under a Quality Management System (QMS) and the stated quality policy is:  PLZ Corp produces quality units, on time.  Everything the group does supports the QMS and quality policy, and all functions are governed by a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions.  All forms and records are properly maintained according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Duties and Responsibilities: Priorities may change daily

*****Pay Rate ***** $22.00 Per Hour****

  • 1st Shift 5am- 330pm (Monday - Thursday)
  • An outline of responsibilities on the production floor are quality checks against a specification and a standard
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • The production line, and components used, will be inspected for accuracy before a line can begin manufacturing.
  • We record data from measurements on a QC line audit sheet and inform the line if product running is not meeting the standard.
  • Follow SOP’s and/or Work Instructions
  • Communicate quality back to production line leaders, management, and QC management.
  • Notifies management of any major discrepancies
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations
  • Other specific duties as requested by management
  • Available and willing to work overtime as needed in immediate area or in other areas of the company.
  • Creates a positive culture in words/actions so as to increase respect/teamwork throughout the company.
  • The QC Technician will also support our commitment to using only clean and sanitary equipment by performing and documenting ATP swabs of product-contact equipment and dispositioning per written specifications. Retention samples will be collected during the beginning, middle, and end of the manufacturing run as well as additional samples used to prepare for microbiology testing.

 

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or GED required. Some college or technical schooling preferred
  • Experience handling hazardous materials
  • Good math and basic computer skills 
  • Good mechanical aptitude and able to troubleshoot 
  • Team player with a 'can-do' attitude
