Job Summary



The part-time Paralegal (based out of our Albany, NY office) will support attorneys by performing a variety of tasks including legal research, document preparation, case management, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of legal procedures and terminology.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and management of cases, including drafting and organizing legal documents, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses.

  • Review, organize, and analyze case files, discovery documents, and evidence. Assist with document production in compliance with court orders, client requests, and deadlines.

  • Assist with the preparation and response to discovery requests (interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions). Track and manage discovery deadlines and responses.

  • Prepare and electronically file legal documents with local, state, and federal courts. Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and procedural requirements. (i.e. NYSCEF, PACER, etc.)

  • Assist with arbitration hearing preparation, including the preparation of exhibits, witness lists, and hearing binders. Coordinate with witnesses and experts for hearing support.

  • Assist with trial preparation, including the preparation of exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders. Coordinate with witnesses and experts for trial support.

  • Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and third parties. Ensure effective communication regarding case developments, deadlines, and required information.

  • Maintain case files, update case management systems, and track deadlines. Assist with billing, timekeeping, and file organization.

  • Additional responsibilities specific to your assigned practice group may be required.

  • Performs other duties, including administrative, as assigned.
