Job Description

Life Ride EMS is seeking a dedicated and experienced EMT Field Supervisor to oversee emergency medical response operations within Essex County, NJ. The Field Supervisor will be responsible for answering emergency calls, managing EMTs during their shifts, and assisting the Tour Chief with the daily operations to ensure smooth and effective service delivery. This role offers full-time opportunities with both AM and PM shifts available on an alternating tour schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emergency Response: Answer and respond to emergency calls for medical assistance within Essex County, ensuring timely and professional patient care.
  • Supervision of EMTs: Provide direct supervision and oversight to EMTs working during the shift, ensuring all staff are performing duties in compliance with operational protocols and safety standards.
  • Operational Support: Assist the Tour Chief in maintaining day-to-day operations, including ensuring proper staffing levels, equipment readiness, and adherence to protocols.
  • Staff Performance: Monitor and evaluate the performance of EMTs, providing feedback and guidance as needed. Assist in resolving any issues that may arise during the tour.
  • Training and Compliance: Ensure that all EMTs are up-to-date with certifications and training. Assist with continuous training efforts and ensure team members comply with all safety, medical, and operational guidelines.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of incidents, crew activities, and equipment usage. Assist with incident reports and other necessary documentation.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure that all emergency medical equipment is operational, clean, and ready for use. Report and address any maintenance issues or deficiencies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Tour Chief and other staff members to maintain a high level of operational efficiency and ensure the quality of patient care is met.
