Duties/Responsibilities:
•    Assist with sourcing and purchasing steel products (coils, sheets, plates, structural steel)
•    Support verification of costs on sales orders to help maintain target profit margins
•    Coordinate with sales to ensure timely order fulfillment
•    Track deliveries and monitor inventory levels
•    Maintain purchasing records and update supplier information
•    Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and order status
•    Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and monitoring market trends
•    Ensure all purchasing activities follow company policies and safety standards

Qualifications:
•    Must follow safety procedures and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Basic computer skills required (Excel and ERP systems preferred)
•    Strong communication and organizational skills
•    Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
•    Willingness to learn procurement and negotiation processes
•    Experience in steel, construction materials, or purchasing is a plus

Education and Experience:
•    A high school diploma or equivalent
•    1+ year of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or related field preferred

Physical Requirements:
•    Sitting for prolonged periods
•    Walking
•    Occasional lifting or movement of materials as needed
