Job Description

Key responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Identify and prospect potential clients within the transportation industry, including manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and other businesses requiring transportation services.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our customer base.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets.

Proposal Development and Negotiation

  • Prepare comprehensive proposals and presentations outlining our transportation solutions, pricing structures, and value propositions to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to develop customized solutions that align with client needs and company capabilities.

Sales Reporting and Analysis

  • Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics using CRM software or other sales tracking tools.
  • Generate regular reports summarizing sales performance, key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for optimization and strategic decision-making.

   Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of success in transportation sales or a similar role, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, including freight forwarding, logistics, trucking, or related services.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Willingness to travel as needed.
