PROFESSIONAL EDUCATOR LICENSE WITH ELEMENTARY AND ESL ENDORSEMENTS REQUIRED
Additional Skills Required: Demonstrates ability to build strong, positive relationships with young learners and create a safe, inclusive classroom environment; Knowledge of early childhood/primary literacy and numeracy development and ability to design instruction aligned to learning progressions; Ability to implement district-adopted curriculum (e.g., HMH, Investigations) with fidelity while responding to student needs; Skill in monitoring student progress using multiple data sources and adjusting instruction accordingly; Ability to collaborate effectively with grade-level teams, specialists, and families to support student success
Desirable Skills: Experience working with a diverse student population, including multilingual learners and students with varying academic and social-emotional needs; Knowledge of foundational reading practices (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension) and early math conceptual development; Experience with or understanding of MTSS frameworks, small group instruction, and targeted intervention; Strong classroom management and behavior support strategies appropriate for primary learners (e.g., CHAMPS, restorative practices); Ability to create a classroom culture that reflects curiosity, joy, and student-centered learning, aligned to district vision
