7G Environmental Compliance Management is seeking a seasoned Lead Compliance Inspector to join our growing team. We are the nation’s trusted partner for petroleum tank owners, driven by excellence, accountability, and integrity. In this elevated role, you will serve as a cornerstone for our business development and the primary regulatory mentor for our internal staff.
Location Requirement
- Location: Candidates must be located in the Dallas, TX area or be willing to relocate to the area.
The Opportunity
As a Lead Compliance Inspector, you will be instrumental in solidifying relationships with major clients and strategically diversifying our client base. You will serve as the regulatory knowledge base for current staff, guiding them through complex compliance landscapes while maintaining the highest standards of field excellence.
What You Will Do
- Regulatory Leadership: Become the definitive expert in California Underground Storage Tank (UST) and Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) regulations, adhering to Federal EPA guidelines.
- Client Relations: Act as a key point of contact for major accounts to ensure high-level service delivery and long-term partnership stability.
- Field Inspections: Follow company-provided routes to conduct visual inspections of petroleum storage tank systems and related facilities.
- Client Training: Conduct client training sessions on new and existing sites.
- Data & Documentation: Review critical regulatory documents and utilize designated software platforms to organize and collect compliance data.
- Safety & Mentorship: Adhere to all safety and security procedures while identifying and reporting potentially unsafe conditions to the team.
- Feedback Integration: Gather customer feedback to enhance service quality and respond promptly to complex service requests.
Position Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance or petroleum tank systems.
- Certifications: Must hold a current certifications (or be willing to obtain one within 6 months of hire) in:
- California, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming A/B Operator Certifications.
- Travel: Extensive travel is a core requirement of this position. This includes overnight stays and being away from home for more than five days at a time.
- Environment: Must be comfortable with extensive driving and working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Drive: An independent, self-motivated individual who thrives on the open road and the challenges of a dynamic outdoor environment.
