Children’s Specialized ABA is designed to address the comprehensive needs of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). By leveraging the expertise of the Children’s Specialized Hospital Autism Center of Excellence, the program aims to expand access to innovative and compassionate care, empowering children diagnosed with autism to thrive. Children’s Specialized ABA offers home-based, community-based, and center-based ABA therapy.

Join Us as a Director of Technology and Automation

The Director of Technology and Automation will serve as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing data infrastructure, technology integration, and business intelligence across the organization. This individual will lead technology road mapping, vendor management, systems integration, and ensure data quality and visibility in support of organizational growth, including through mergers and acquisitions.

What You'll Do: 

Innovation & Strategy

  • Define AI, automation, and technology strategy for the company – keep a master view of the tech stack, prioritize use cases, budget and timeline key implementations and transformations.

  • Identify and assess emerging tools, systems, and practices that can improve efficiency, quality of care, or business operations.

  • Stay abreast of AI and technology trends and innovations in the ABA space and bring priorities and ideas to leadership regularly.

  • Own assessment of data/IT security diagnostic, solution, roadmap, monitoring, and reporting. 

Technology & Vendor Assessment and Management

  • Oversee a portfolio of AI and SaaS solutions; partner with functional leaders to evaluate new vendors, benchmark costs, negotiate and manage contracts, and support implementation and integration.

  • Partner with business and function leaders to define implementation roadmap, apply best practices, and project manage implementation of all solutions identified.

  • Monitor and manage IT and solution spend across all software and technology platforms. Be responsible for performance against budget and deliverable quality.

Systems implementation and optimization

  • Develop deep knowledge and understanding of all systems and tools used at Children’s Specialized ABA.

  • Collaborate with each functional leader to map workflows, understand pain points, and optimize use and impact of solutions.

  • Work with leaders to establish KPIs and regular reporting of technology use and impact. Report out to executive team.

Systems Integration & M&A Support

  • Lead enterprise-wide technology and systems integration efforts to ensure seamless operations.

  • In the context of M&A:
    Conduct diligence on data and systems of acquisition targets to assess quality and compatibility.
    Analyze and reconcile data structures to ensure consistency and usability.
    Advise leadership and partners on required changes to enable strategic visibility and performance monitoring.

 

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years in an enterprise technology leadership role

  • Passion for technology and behavioral health; insight into industry trends, model shifts, and implications.

  • Deep knowledge of IT, automation, and artificial intelligence/large language models. 

 

Work Location & Hours:  

 This is a hybrid position, with the primary work location in New Jersey.  Our locations include Kearny, Newark, Voorhees, Princeton, Clark, Clifford, Jackson. The core work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Reasonable Pay Estimate

The expected salary range for this role is $145,000–$160,000 per year, and the position is bonus eligible.  

Final compensation will be based on a range of factors, such as your skills, education, experience, certifications, market conditions, and internal equity. All offers are made in alignment with applicable federal and state laws.
