TITLE: Crown Instruction Internship
DEPARTMENT: Rebecca Crown Library
OPEN TO: Dominican University Graduate Students
STATUS: Part-time position, 16 hours per week, flexible work schedule
DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: July 1st, 2026 – June 30th, 2027
HOURLY RATE: $15.25/hour with an attached scholarship from the Dominican School of Information Studies (2 courses).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Join the Rebecca Crown Library Instruction Team, where there are ample opportunities to gain hands-on library instruction, services, systems, and operations skills. At the end of the internship, you will have gained the following experience:
- Work closely with the Community Learning & Outreach Librarian and Instruction Team:
- Plan and deliver classroom instruction
- Create online learning objects – guides, handouts, videos, social media
- Develop skills with Learning Management Systems (Canvas) and Library Management Systems (LibApps)
- Collaborate with SOIS faculty throughout the internship
- Expand your professional network
- Participate in Professional Development opportunities
- Get practical academic library experience
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in Dominican SOIS program
- Preference will go to those who have completed LIS 702 Facilitating User Learning & Information Needs.
- Must be eligible for US employment
