PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and manage the site HR team, including Pre-Payroll, Medical Services, Security & EHS.
- Partner with site leadership to align HR strategies with operational and business goals.
- Support organizational change & talent development initiatives and culture-building efforts.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and employment regulations.
- Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management.
- Maintain accurate employee records and oversee compliance reporting and audits.
- Partner with legal counsel and corporate HR as needed on complex matters.
Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Oversight
- Oversee pre-payroll operations in coordination with Finance.
- Ensure accurate administration of compensation, benefits, and statutory programs (IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT).
- Support annual compensation reviews, salary administration processes and salary benchmarking exercises.
Talent Management
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts.
- Support onboarding, employee development, and retention initiatives.
- Partner with Learning & Development to identify training needs and support leadership development
Policies, Controls & Reporting
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and standard work.
- Ensure accurate HR reporting and data integrity within HRIS systems.
- Support audits and compliance reviews related to HR and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.
Experience:
- 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including people management responsibilities and environmental health & safety practices.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law and HR best practices.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Languages:
Spanish required; English advanced required.
