Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead and manage the site HR team, including Pre-Payroll, Medical Services, Security & EHS.
  • Partner with site leadership to align HR strategies with operational and business goals.
  • Support organizational change & talent development initiatives and culture-building efforts.

 

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and employment regulations.
  • Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and oversee compliance reporting and audits.
  • Partner with legal counsel and corporate HR as needed on complex matters.

 

Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Oversight

  • Oversee pre-payroll operations in coordination with Finance.
  • Ensure accurate administration of compensation, benefits, and statutory programs (IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT).
  • Support annual compensation reviews, salary administration processes and salary benchmarking exercises.

 

Talent Management

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts.
  • Support onboarding, employee development, and retention initiatives.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to identify training needs and support leadership development

 

Policies, Controls & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and standard work.
  • Ensure accurate HR reporting and data integrity within HRIS systems.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews related to HR and payroll.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making. 


    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required.

 

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including people management responsibilities and environmental health & safety practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

 

Languages:

Spanish required; English advanced required.
