Career Opportunities: Product Testing Engineer (11411)
POSITION INFORMATION
Product Testing Engineer is responsible for the analysis of failure modes of (finished level) products on testing equipment (purchased and in-house built), maintaining and developing test equipment and test software, performing all other actions required for the company's manufacturing and fabrication activities (such as designing boards/connection boxes/tool-jig-fixture, etc...).
Ensure all test equipment is in good conditions (working environment, hardware, software) to minimize downtime, and attain good production yield; improve test coverage & test time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain test equipment in good conditions; manage changes of test softwares.
- Create tools/test equipment/test softwares to help with production activities.
- Work with Product engineers to keep Production yield under control.
- Provide alternative solutions to problems, coordinates the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Provide analysis of plant and workstation layouts for determination of proper methods or tools, including job cost analysis and cost reduction improvements.
- Perform complex research and analysis tasks on product developer requirements, customer requirements, marketing requirements and system requirements.
- Work with other departments (Planning, Production, Quality, Warehouse, …) to get to the final agreement on different matters: Production planning, Man power arrangement, Quality standards, Goods movement, …
- Involve in the selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing engineering tools, machines, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Support Production and Purchasing in creating and maintaining appropriate manufacturing documentation and trainings.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Machenical).
- Language: Proficency in English (written & vebal communication)
- Experience: 1+ YoE in manufacturing environment, equipment services
