Teacher Assistant – 2026–2027 School Year


 


New Dimensions Charter School (NDS) is seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated Teacher Assistant to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate is committed to supporting classroom instruction and helping create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for students.


Position Responsibilities:



  • Support the classroom teacher with daily instruction and classroom activities


  • Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning


  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and student supervision


  • Help maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment


  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development


  • Assist with transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities as needed


  • Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and students


  • Support school-wide initiatives and uphold the mission of NDS



Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or coursework in education preferred)


  • Experience working with children preferred


  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team


  • Strong communication and organizational skills


  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude


  • Commitment to student success and growth
