Job Description
Overview:

The Behavior Technician Specialist (BT-S) provides direct care to children with autism and their families under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. This reporting structure offers an excellent opportunity for you to deliver exceptional client care while also experiencing personal and professional growth. Behavior Technician Specialists are skilled technicians with a proven history of advanced technical and interpersonal skills in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) care.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 ABA services for children in their homes
  • Work as part of a specialized team under the direction of a BCBA who values your insights
  • Building parent partnerships through involving caregivers in sessions using behavioral skills training
  • Recommending program goals
  • Conceptualizing and constructing client materials
  • Assisting with assessments and progress reports


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Behavior Technician with children.
  • Must be at least 18 years old by the first day of employment.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Client Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client services. This includes assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
  • Active Learning: Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Learning Strategies: Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
  • Time Management: Managing one's own time and the time of others

Physical demands may vary by client assignment and include the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds, as well as to move quickly based on client needs. Candidates should be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run as required.
