The Retail Construction Project Manager works as part of a program management team managing programs consisting of multiple project types � generally limited in size, scope, duration, etc. for our commercial multi-site clients while acting as an extension of an owner�s design, construction and maintenance staff overseeing the work of general contractors, designers and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates the activities of project team to ensure project progresses per schedule and budget expectations.
  • Proactively communicates project related issues directly with Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
  • Examines construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and vendor proposals to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Reviews relevant project information necessary to gain complete familiarity with the project.
  • Confirms and verifies permitting requirements related to the project or program.
  • Directly manages and monitors project work in the field.
  • Proactively monitors site safety to ensure compliance with Client�s policies and complete safety inspections.
  • Provide weekly progress reports.
  • Maintain updated schedule dates and documents in Clients projects tracking system.
  • Diligently manages change orders to projects.
  • Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Prepares and provides weekly status reports for projects.
  • Proactively identifies and solves or elevates project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or quality.
  • Represents the company in project meetings.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
  • Actively manages open tickets to ensure vendors are performing within their response times.
  • Diligently manages maintenance expenses monthly to stay within annual budget.
  • Evaluates major repairs for cost-benefits of repair versus replacement.
  • Inspect new installations for conformance to retail site, operational and safety standards.
  • Provide input in capital project development for new facility and equipment installations.
  • Develop scopes of work and budgets for assigned projects.
  • Survey and inspect sites to identify condition of premises and operator care of equipment.
  • Provide technical support to the Sales and Operations Teams.
  • Provide input on annual plan for asset replacements.
  • Perform site due diligence on new prospective sites and review with Design and Construction.
  • Travel required on an as-needed basis up to and including weekly site visits.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-year degree in an accredited construction related program or equivalent; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated skills in project management.
  • Minimum of three years� experience in managing complex or multi-site projects required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • OSHA 10 Hour certification

Pay & Benefits:

The anticipated compensation range for the position is $110,000 - $120,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
