Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative reports to the Sales Manager as a key member of the business development team. This role supports the company through lead generation and scheduling of qualified appointments which will help the JAN-PRO Support Team execute its business growth plan. This role will work closely with the Outside Sales Team and Representatives, Office Manager, and Operations. You will need to be able to speak comfortably with customers about products and applications, and computer literacy is necessary as it will be one of your most utilized assets in this role. An effective representative will enjoy a team atmosphere, have enthusiasm, courtesy, and articulation. We are here to present a service and support to customers, so being service minded will help you be successful.

Description

Primary responsibility for lead generation and scheduling of qualified appointments which includes, using databases and additional resources to create appointments for our outside Sales Team.


  • Capability in using the following tools outbound calling, direct mail, faxing, and email campaigns to generate qualified leads.
  • Identify and develop new lead sources and marketing opportunities by analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of lead generation processes and results.
  • Assist and coordinate marketing functions. Develop and schedule appointments for outside sales team.
  • Maintain the sales and marketing dashboard to monitor the critical sales and marketing activities and call-out any concerns or wins, and support coordination of activities.
  • Work closely with the sales departments (other inside salespeople, outside sales staff, executive management, etc.) to foster a team environment and achieve strong sales growth.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
  • Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process.
  • Understand and the product or service to the customer.
  • Set and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership.
  • Continually develop sales skills to increase sales success rates.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, be self-governing, be proactive, and responsible for accomplishment of the company mission without need for daily coaching or prompting from the Team.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) well at all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills.


Experience:

  • 2+ years in progressively responsible sales and marketing via outbound calling with strong sales success track record with verifiable results.
  • High School diploma or GED is required. 

Requirements

Advanced training, or college with an emphasis on business, sales and or marketing, is preferred.

Experience in utilizing ACT, Gold Mine, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software, Microsoft Office, and Presentation Software.

Remote option, must be in the Columbia, SC area.
