Staff Educator

Grandview Rehab and Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Educator (RN) to join our skilled nursing facility team. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering education and training programs to ensure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident care.

The Nurse Educator will play a key role in staff development, onboarding, and ongoing competency validation while supporting leadership in achieving operational and clinical goals.



Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
  • BSN required (MSN preferred or in progress)
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience (long-term care preferred)
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Educator, Staff Development Coordinator, or Preceptor preferred
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience with adult learning principles and staff training


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement orientation programs for new nursing staff
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct ongoing education and in-service training
  • Assess and validate clinical competencies of nursing staff
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify training needs and improve outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
  • Provide hands-on clinical support and mentorship to staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate education records and training documentation
  • Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives
