Description

IT Operations & Support




  • Manage and maintain servers, networks, and internal systems to support daily operations.

  • Provide hands-on technical support to staff across multiple office locations.

  • Ensure the reliable operation of hardware, software, and communication systems.



Network & Systems Administration




  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and VoIP systems.

  • Oversee backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity processes.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.



Leadership & Strategy




  • Supervise a small team of IT technicians and coordinate with external vendors.

  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Assist in strategic planning for IT upgrades, expansions, and cybersecurity initiatives.



Security & Compliance




  • Maintain system security, including anti-virus, firewalls, and regular patching.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer data protection requirements.

  • Conduct regular assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of Windows-based systems, networking, and server administration.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and VoIP systems.

  • Solid problem-solving abilities with a customer-service mindset.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.







Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience working in the telecommunications or communications industry.

  • Familiarity with rural broadband technologies or small ISP environments.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.
