Position Summary:
The SAP Data Migration Architect is responsible for designing, architecting, and executing enterprise-level data migration strategies supporting SAP S/4HANA and related platforms. This role develops and maintains data architectures required for data storage, transformation, processing, and integration across complex landscapes, including government-regulated environments.
The architect defines data structures, models, metadata, and governance frameworks, while ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational standards. Operating with a high level of autonomy, this role may provide technical leadership to project teams and serves as a subject matter expert on sophisticated data challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, architecture design, and execution of SAP data migration initiatives, including profiling, data modeling, transformation, cleansing, validation, and load strategies.
- Design, build, and optimize data models, database structures, schemas, and metadata frameworks to support enterprise data needs.
- Develop data acquisition, data access, data archiving, and data recovery strategies in alignment with corporate governance and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate new data sources for quality, usability, and integration readiness.
- Ensure data migration activities adhere to SAP best practices, S/4HANA standards, and government-contracting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP functional leads, solution architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance on Master Data Management (MDM), metadata modeling, and overall data architecture design.
- Mentor team members and contribute to the development of data governance practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, or enterprise data migration.
- Applied experience with SAP Data Migration Tools and SAP S/4HANA migration programs.
- Experience supporting or working within government-contracting environments.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, database architecture, and metadata design.
- Knowledge of database management systems, data integration, and data quality frameworks.
- Secret security clearance required.
- Relevant technical certifications may be required depending on project or program needs.
Compensation:
In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate�s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This posted range reflects our good faith estimate of the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting.
