Business Overview: 

International Card Services (ICS) is the leading provider of Credit Cards, Business Financing, T&E Solutions, Supplier Payments, and Cross-Border Payments that help consumer, small, mid-size, and large corporations around the world manage nearly every facet of their business spending. International Card Services Centre of Excellence (ICS COE) is the newly established function within ICS with the mission to unlock growth and enable ICS to become the fastest growing segment within American Express.

Analytics & Strategic Insights (ASI) team is an analytical engine that sits within ICS COE with a mission to shape ICS strategy, enable decisions and drive business outcome through actionable insights. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

This is an outstanding opportunity in a high visibility role that will work very closely with marketing and sales teams within ICS COE and across international markets to provide meaningful analytics and actionable insights to help drive business growth. Candidate will work on one of the below key pillar of ASI:

  • Driving profitable acquisition growth, growing customer share of wallet & deepening engagement with cardmembers by devising best in class data empowered analytical marketing solutions. 
  • Develop data driven analysis & insights to support ICS core focus areas: digital acquisition, customer marketing, product development and partnerships.
  • Bring economic discipline to customer marketing investment by evaluating the life time value & return on investment for marketing offers.
  • Support commercial sales & account development team with performance tracking, target setting, incentives, and analytics support.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills Required: 

 

  • Quantitative background or degree preferred (Bachelor’s/Master’s in Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related analytical fields is desired)
  • Programming skills/aptitude in SQL and/or HIVE, SAS, Hadoop, Python experience a plus
  • Experience in statistical testing methodologies (i.e. A/B & Multivariate testing)
  • Strategic problem-solving skills, with ability to solve unstructured business problems
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams and colleagues to achieve common goals
  • Ability to take a customer experience centric view while looking at data insights
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Well-rounded written & verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must be graduating in the year 2025
