The Work
We’re building electrical systems faster, safer, and smarter—and our prefab shop is at the center of it.
As a Prefab Shop Welder, you’ll fabricate high‑quality electrical assemblies that go directly to live commercial job sites. Your work reduces field install time, improves safety, and keeps projects on schedule. If you take pride in clean welds, repeatable quality, and building things the right way—this role is for you.
This is shop‑based work (not field welding) with consistent hours and a stable workload.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Weld and fabricate electrical prefab assemblies (racks, supports, frames, sleeves, embeds, etc.)
- Perform MIG and/or stick welding on steel components (AWS quality expectations)
- Read and work from shop drawings, cut sheets, and basic fabrication prints
- Cut, fit, and prep materials for welding (grinding, beveling, jig setup)
- Work with the prefab and electrical teams to meet production goals
- Inspect finished assemblies for accuracy, strength, and quality
- Maintain welding equipment and shop tools
- Follow shop safety protocols and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of welding experience (fabrication or industrial preferred)
- MIG welding experience required (stick welding a plus)
- Ability to read basic drawings or diagrams
- Experience welding steel (light to medium gauge)
- Ability to consistently produce clean, repeatable welds
- Comfortable working on your feet in a shop environment
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, and team‑minded
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience supporting electrical construction or prefab operations
- Familiarity with electrical supports (Unistrut, strut racks, trapeze assemblies)
- AWS welding certification
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
Why This Role Is Different
- ✅ No travel
- ✅ Consistent hours
- ✅ Indoor shop environment
- ✅ Work that directly impacts real projects
- ✅ Growing prefab operation with advancement potential
We’re investing heavily in prefab—and welders who want long‑term stability and pride in their work grow with us.
