    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
    The Milford School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide Extended School Year (ESY) Services to elementary students identified as having intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The Special Education Teacher prepares lesson plans, delivers specially designed instruction to meet the goals and objectives defined in Individual Education Program and coordinate related services as related to the ESY goals and objectives.  Special Education Teachers will implement instructional strategies that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.  

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of district curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, district policies, and effective instructional practices.
    • Understanding of the teaching/learning process.
    • Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
    • Ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
    • Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school based staff, students, parents and community.
    • Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
    Certified or certifiable by the New Hampshire Department of Education in General Special Education (1900) or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (1833)

    SCHEDULE:
    July 6, 2026 - August 6, 2026.

    Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

    Up to 15 hours per week.

    RATE:
    $40 per hour

    FSLA Status:
    Non-Exempt
