Job Description

Description

At Conductor Power, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Survey Superintendent to support our utility-scale renewable energy project in Jal, New Mexico. Based full-time on site, this role is critical in ensuring accurate site layouts, elevations, and reference points throughout the construction process. You’ll lead survey crews and subcontractors, maintain survey control across the project site, and collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams to keep everything aligned with design specifications and timelines.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring at least five years of construction surveying experience, including two years in a supervisory role. Proficiency with survey equipment and software—such as GPS units, total stations, and CAD file formats—is essential, as is the ability to interpret civil drawings and manage layout documentation. A high school diploma is required, and additional coursework or certifications in surveying or construction management are preferred. This position requires 100% travel to our project site in Jal, NM, so flexibility and a valid driver’s license are essential. If you’re passionate about precision, leadership, and building the future of renewable energy, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of construction surveying experience
  • At least two years of supervisory or leadership experience on utility-scale or civil projects
  • Proficiency with GPS systems (Trimble, Topcon, or Leica), total stations, and survey data software

  • Familiarity with CAD platforms and file formats such as CSV and DXF
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and field reporting tools
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Trade certifications or coursework in construction surveying, construction management, or geomatics preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Progression from roles such as Surveyor or Instrument Operator to Superintendent is highly valued

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate active construction sites, including stairs, uneven terrain, and variable weather conditions
  • Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, walking, and carrying survey equipment
  • Frequent use of hands/eyes for equipment and computer work; strong communication abilities required

Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and AD&D Insurance
  • 401(k) with employer 6% match
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Telemedicine
  • Employee Discount Program

Travel:

  • 100% travel to project site in Jal, MN
