Department:        Digital Strategy and Solutions



Reports to:          Managing Director, IT and Facilities



Job Type:              Full-Time



Schedule:            40 hours/week



Compensation $60,000 - $65,000



 



SUMMARY:



Responsible for all aspects of the operations relating to installed and anticipated computer hardware, networked systems and data communications technologies for centers throughout Asia, Europe and from time to time US.  The System Support technician is a versatile and highly motivated individual who ensures the end user has the tools necessary to efficiently do their jobs. Assist users with PC and Network related issues such as PC configuration for proper boot and network connectivity, Microsoft Office training and support, printer trouble shooting, etc. Must have the ability to work independently. This will be a hybrid position.



 



RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Manage, operate, upgrade and maintain Society workstations systems in mixed platform (PC and Apple) environment and relocate computer equipment to different locations

  • Configure printers and deploy them on the network

  • Support and train users with videoconferencing solutions (Cisco, Zoom,..etc)

  • Support remote Centers to ensure systems compatibility across the organization

  • Work as level 1 and 2 Help Desk technician to facilitate timely support and resolution of Help Desk issues.

  • Liaise with contractors and outsourcers to handle day-to-day system maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Provide installation and support for mobile users

  • Track and manage asset inventory

  • Create and maintain technical documentation

  • Provide key technical knowledge for recommendation on emerging technologies

  • Available outside business hours for remote support

  • Train users on new applications and design customized training

  • Other duties as assigned.



 



REQUIREMENTS:




  • College degree and 4-5 years related work experience preferred

  • A+ Certification and/or Microsoft Certification (MCP)




  • Advanced knowledge of Windows

  • Advanced knowledge of Apple OS

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Strong experience with Active Directory

  • Strong experience with MS Office 2013, 2016, 2019, 365

  • Strong experience with HP & Canon printers, Dell laptops and MacBooks

  • Strong experience with iOS

  • Strong experience with Cloud storage solutions: Box, DropBox, Google Drive

  • Experience with AI Tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini,..etc.

  • Comfortable replacing internal components in laptops

  • Imaging new workstations

  • Able to carry workstations or printers (40 lbs)

  • Proven ability to learn and apply new, emerging technologies

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to interact with a diverse user constituency

  • Ability to provide white glove support services

  • Strong organizational skills with multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail

  • Excellent customer skills and service mentality

  • Ability to work beyond the normal workday including week-ends when required

  • Prior non-profit work experience highly desirable



 



COMPENSATION:



Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000



Compensation within this range is determined by skills, experience, and organizational equity.
