SUMMARY
Supervises Nutrition Services operations on a daily basis for the Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities. Covers for the Director of Food Services in her absence. Prepares seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items for consumption. Carries out meal preparation in a thorough and efficient manner, which results in appealing, nutritious food for our residents, staff and public visitors. Maintains a sanitary, neat and attractive setting in the food preparation areas.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises approximately 15-20 staff members each day. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, and appraising performance.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of current local, state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to food handling, processing and serving required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of three to five years experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is required.
