Job Description

Scope

Houlihan Lokey’s Presentations and Graphics department is seeking a full time Presentations Designer to serve as an integral team member in producing high quality investment banking pitch books, and formatting general documents and spreadsheets. The Presentations Designer will primarily be working in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time)


Responsibilities:

  • Design PowerPoint pitch books and custom presentations 
  • Create both company branded and custom charts, graphs, tables, icons and other infographics
  • Create fully functional custom PowerPoint templates
  • Photo re-touching and photo manipulation
  • Logo creation, recreation or vectorization
  • Design complex maps (shale, oil, pipelines)
  • Design print collateral (invitations, signage, and banners)
  • Format Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents
  • Build and style Word templates
  • Setup and run mail merges (badges, labels, letters, and cards)
  • Create letterheads and other related stationary
  • Work with creating, combining, editing, watermarking, redacting and optimizing PDF documents
  • Redlining documents
  • Other similar presentation design or document formatting requests


Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel (non-technical), and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Strong knowledge and experience designing infographics, financial charts, tables and graphs 
  • Ability to take ideas and think creatively to make professional, aesthetically pleasing layouts while maintaining company identity standards
  • Ability to work with a job ticketing system, work well under pressure and make quick sound decisions
  • Superior and professional written and verbal communications skills
  • Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes
  • Excellent research skills - know the places to look and manage time spent efficiently
  • Strong aptitude to acclimatize and learn quickly
  • Ability to work independently on a project or collaboratively as a team player and able to integrate with a diverse team with varying opinions and idea
     

Educational & Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphics, Business or related field
  • 2+ years as a Presentations Specialist or similar capacity editing financial documents, spreadsheets and presentations
