Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for end-to-end material planning and purchasing activities to ensure supply continuity, inventory optimization, supplier performance management, and compliance with corporate governance. Supports system readiness, process standardization, and operation excellence.

Responsibilities

  • For the assigned portfolio of items, optimize inventory levels to ensure compliance with agreed customer stock holding requirements and internal DOH targets.
  • Monitor demand trends and align supply plan with forecast and actual consumption.
  • Manage end-to-end PO lifecycle (placement, expediting, rescheduling, closure)
  • Issue purchase orders and work orders as per lead times to ensure delivery in line with internal & customer On Time Delivery goals.
  • Work directly with the supply base to ensure the necessary communication results in swift order acknowledgements and clear availability information, updating the ERP system to reflect the latest information.
  • Identify opportunities for sourcing improvements and cost savings, driving these opportunities through to implementation.
  • Review and maintain planning parameters accuracy, lead times, MOQ’s, safety stock, lot sizing, program code etc.
  • Identify supply gaps, compacity constraints, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Manage excess, slow moving, and obsolete inventory.
  • Drive and conduct regular supplier performance reviews, include and not limited to delivery performance, quality resolution, and accountability and escalation management.
  • Ensure continuity during surge and ramp scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and purchasing policies.
  • Drive process standardization and continuous improvement.

 Education, Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Professional accreditation, Engineering/Supply Chain degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Three years professional experience in materials planning, procurement, or demand planning.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Expert with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in a distribution environment a plus.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of material planning and inventory management.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, be able to prioritize multiple tasks, easily adapt to changing situations, and work well under pressure.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in teams with members from various disciplines.
