Agate Beach Inn is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team!
The Evening Maintenance Duty Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the property during evening hours by responding promptly to guest room maintenance requests and service calls. This role involves assisting guests with maintenance-related needs, conducting routine inspections of hotel facilities—including the pool area—to ensure safety and proper functionality, and completing assigned repair and upkeep projects. The engineer plays a key role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for both guests and staff.

Responsibilities:
- Responds promptly and follows through on guest requests in a friendly and effective manner
- Troubleshoots and repairs basic maintenance, electrical, technical, HVAC, and plumbing needs in rooms/suites
- Conducts preventative maintenance on all guest room/suite furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Inspects plumbing regularly
- Takes care of the hotel's lighting needs
- Ensures all appliances are working correctly
- Complies with hotel safety prevention rules and techniques, including fire safety
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED; or one to two years of related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking and blueprint reading
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Basic Math skills
- Basic computer skills
