Overview Gallagher Re is looking for a SVP Actuary to provide actuarial support to Gallagher’s reinsurance Brokers and Clients. The role will be dedicated to our Cyber team. This role will be primarily based in New York City and offers a hybrid office-remote environment. How you'll make an impact The Gallagher Re Cyber Analytics team currently offers a range of services including, but not limited to: Exposure and experience based pricing; proportional and non-proportional reinsurance Reinsurance Structure modelling; stochastic modelling to investigate impact of reinsurance structures P&L, Balance Sheet and Capital Requirements. Optimization; capital efficiency and return from using reinsurance structures for both prospective and retrospective liabilities. Benchmarking; compilation, analysis and presentation of product and sector benchmarking. Research and development; current areas of focus include Outside-In scanning, inflation and cyber loss reserving. Cyber CAT Modelling; using commercially available Cyber models to evaluate client portfolios The role encompasses interaction with clients (including tenders / RFPs) and Gallagher Re brokers. The successful individual will provide input and participate in the development of new opportunities and renewals. The role will also assist the team in developing new and existing analytics tools and modelling capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing US team focusing on a high profile product within the (re)insurance industry. Core Responsibilities To lead analytics for cyber reinsurance placements. To effectively communicate analytics work with clients and reinsurers. To ensure effective and structured verbal and written communication, with the ability to present information in a clear manner and contribute to meetings as required. To use best practices and knowledge to identify efficiencies and process improvements within projects assigned, and to solve problems as required. To develop in-house cyber expertise through research and development projects. To develop and automate new and existing modelling processes. About You Required: Bachelor's degree; 7 years related experience. Knowledge in relevant regulations where appropriate to role (e.g., state and federal benefits regulations, underwriting, benefit or insurance products). Desired: Professional accreditation as Fellow, Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) Work Traits: Demonstrates effective Client management skills; Project management skills; Communication skills; Analytical skills; Attention to detail; Financial acumen; Business acumen.
