Are you passionate about enhancing community engagement through fun and rewarding recreational activities? The Athletics Department and Track & Field program are looking for an enthusiastic Seasonal Recreation Aide to join our team! In this role, you will play a key part in planning, supporting, and promoting a variety of recreational activities and events for our residents. Responsibilities include assisting with activity setup and coordination, maintaining recreational equipment and facilities in safe and clean condition, and helping create a welcoming and engaging environment for all participants.

Job Summary
Under close supervision, assists in the delivery of City recreation programs and events.

Qualifications
Required

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
Preferred:
  • High School diploma or GED
Essential Functions
  • Provides and promotes recreation activities and events for City residents; sets up recreation sites and facilities for events and scheduled programs; maintains equipment and facilities in clean and safe condition; duties may vary according to job assignment.
  • Organizes recreation activities, supervises program participants, and enforces rules, regulations and safety precautions at indoor and outdoor facilities; maintains discipline, monitors behavior and resolves issues.
  • Develops promotional media for events and special programs; tutors’ youth and assists with schoolwork.
  • Reports and resolves complaints, requests, safety conditions, security issues and illegal activities.
  • Operates a City vehicle to transport program participants to and from community events or recreational activities.
