About Citco Software Group
The Citco Software Group (CSG) is newly-created internal development shop for Citco technology that will be developed as cloud-native applications and delivered as Software-as-a-Service. The Citco Software Group will provide Technology, Data and Services to our clients to help improve their own business and technology allowing them to focus on their core business. The Citco Software Group has combined business and technical expertise into a unified organization to deliver superior software to the alternative investment industry.
About the Role:
Y ou will be working in a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build cloud native applications for the financial services industry. We are looking for true team players who can work beyond their specialty to help the team deliver.
Every team member is responsible for the quality of the product and should be willing to work on any tasks needed, be it front-end, back end, test automation, deployment automation, etc.
Job Duties in Brief
- Deliver cloud native solutions in AWS as part of a cross-functional agile team
- Design and develop front-end using React and Angular.js.
- Develop back-end/API code using Python.
- Design, develop, and manage AWS resources in a safe and cost-effective manner.
- Be comfortable using relational databases.
- Participate and contribute on all team activities such as Sprint Planning , Sprint Execution , Daily Scrum , Sprint Review , Sprint Retrospective
- Perform code reviews and ensure the quality of the team’s work
- Testing: Design and implement automated unit and system testing
- Stay current on emerging technologies and be able to match them to a Citco need when required
About You:
- Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience with at least one of; Python, ReactJS
- 2+ years’ experience with ag-Grid, webpack, Angular.js
- 1+ year experience delivering solution in AWS. CloudFormation, S3, Lambda, API Gateway
- Experience in responsive web design, fluid layouts and positioning, browser behavior and compatibility, cross-browser issues and solutions
- Solid understanding of HTML5, ES6, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
- Hands on experience with Python web frameworks like Flask and Django
- Experience with source code management such as CodeCommit
- Overall experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies; Participation in code reviews, Pair Programming
- Must be self-motivated and driven, with demonstrated knowledge and skills in: creativity, technical analysis, and problem solving, communication and client service.
- Solid understanding and demonstrated proficiency with core software development processes - debugging, code tuning, code management and branching, coding styles and refactoring.
- Knowledge of financial industry is highly desirable
