The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools serve more than 40,000 students in 150+ elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties. This opportunity is for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
The Assistant Principal supports the Principal in advancing the school’s Catholic mission, academic excellence, and positive school culture. This role provides instructional leadership, supervises students and staff, and assists with daily school operations in a faith filled elementary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and model the mission and values of Catholic education
• Assist with curriculum implementation, teacher support, and professional development
• Support student discipline, behavior, and supervision
• Assist with supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff
• Help manage daily school operations, scheduling, and communication
• Participate in liturgies, prayer services, and faith based activities
• Assume leadership duties in the absence of the Principal
Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic in good standing
• Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership
• Valid teaching license; administrative endorsement preferred or in progress
• Elementary teaching experience (Catholic school experience preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Position Type: Full time, academic year (with some evenings/weekends)

This position has an annualized salary range of $38,500.00 - $61,000.00. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
