Job Description

Global Service Product Owners establish solid relationships across the Mouser organization. They research, document, and capture the requirements of end-to-end solution workflow.  Product Owners are responsible for translating these requirements into product features, functional design, and integrating them into Mouser’s Systems, Processes, & Procedures.
Product Owners are also responsible for identifying upcoming initiatives, challenges, and developing a competitive solution.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Create the product strategy for external and internal customer experiences
•    Learn stakeholder strategy, tactical approaches, priorities, requirements, and business process
•    Collaborate with all applicable teams to provide a mix of business and technical direction on systems, design, development, testing, and deployment
•    Coordinate User Acceptance Testing for application enhancements and help maintain controlled procedures
•    Communicate issues and status of User Acceptance Testing to project Stakeholders
•    Partner with appropriate Systems team to coordinate delivery of work and deployment of projects and platforms
•    Establish open and timely communication with interested parties, stakeholders, and sponsors
•    Develop a strong Mouser business acumen and use it with each assignment
•    Must be seen as an advocate for customers and internal users
•    A team player who represents the company and Sales Operations team in a professional manner
•    Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external contacts
•    Utilize organizational skills to document, categorize, prioritize, provide easy access to information, and timely follow-up
•    Detailed and thorough in work habits with multi-tasking ability
•    Manage the entire product lifecycle from planning, execution, and delivery
•    Define product requirement documents based on subject matter knowledge and expertise
•    Build and maintain a strong Customer Service business acumen with complete knowledge of systems and tools available in the marketplace
•    Develop and communicate program vision and feature roadmap
•    Ability to meet business goals and collaborate with scrum teams to ensure delivered solutions continuously provide value
•    Contribute to establishing product goals and review metrics to help identify opportunities and deliver successes
•    Research and identify new opportunities for Mouser to innovate on behalf of our customers, employees, and suppliers
•    Demonstrate the initiative to spend time with all levels of users

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
•    Exhibits strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple departmental activities
•    General understanding of project management tools, software development lifecycle, and problem solving
•    Produce documentation including mockups, flowcharts, and other process diagrams
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
•    Demonstrates a positive attitude toward self and others
•    Ability to set and track goals
•    Exhibits problem solving, negotiation, and teaching skills
•    Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization
•    Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills with people at all levels of the company
•    Strong ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style
•    PC Experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet, e-mail, Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software
•    Able to work with minimum supervision and make independent judgements
•    Able to use, read, and interpret spreadsheets, printed reports, and terminal screens
•    Able to type data and use PC for extended periods of time
•    Skill Evaluation: Math 80%, Spelling 80%, Advanced Excel 80%, Typing 40 WPM

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•    Degree from four-year college or university in the business or project management field, or 2 years’ experience with written process, project management, and reporting in a corporate environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
