Community Day Charter Public School (CDCPS) seeks passionate Early Childhood Education Teachers with outstanding academic backgrounds to work with our school teams, renowned for closing the achievement gap. CDCPS manages multiple campuses across Lawrence, MA, and serves 1,200 pre-kindergarten to 8th-grade students. We believe in providing our students with a rigorous student-centered academic program while investing in their social, emotional, and holistic well-being. CDCPS teachers are passionate educators excited about working with the youngest learners and strive for their students' growth and mastery at developing foundational concepts. In addition, our teachers participate in internal and external professional development opportunities which equip our teachers with the latest and best social-emotional, culturally responsive, and pedagogical instruction practices.   Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Deliver rich content with a focus on building oral language and comprehension skills 
  • Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to analyze data, plan for culminating projects and lessons, and differentiate instruction
  • Develop a strong classroom culture that is built on a foundation of respect, care, and high expectations, often within a co-teaching model
  • Create a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning environment while applying research-based curricula and social-emotional strategies to support the holistic child
  • Use formative and summative data to determine students' needs and create action plans for student success in collaboration with grade level and administrative team
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Attend key whole-school events (i.e., Back to School Nights and Family Conferences) 
  • Participate in two-week training in the summer, and during the school year, participate in a year-long professional development series during early release days
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
