Position Purpose

Under the general supervision of the Building Principal, the Elementary Teacher supports student growth and achievement by delivering high-quality instruction aligned to district curriculum. The teacher creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment; differentiates instruction to meet diverse student needs; monitors student progress; and communicates effectively with students, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that supports all learners
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success
• Differentiate instruction and provide targeted support for individual and small groups
• Assess student learning regularly and adjust instruction based on data
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance
• Foster strong communication and partnerships with families
• Support student behavior in alignment with district expectations
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and support staff
• Participate in team meetings, professional learning, and district initiatives
• Supervise students in classrooms and other school settings as needed 

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or District Administration 

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for elementary grade levels
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field (Master's preferred)
• Strong understanding of instructional best practices and differentiated learning
• Ability to use data to inform instruction and support student growth
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to continuous professional growth 

Work Environment & Expectations

• Use of standard instructional and technology tools
• Participation in professional development and required meetings
• Occasional travel between district buildings or for professional learning
