Office Location: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.

Pay Grade 4: $21.662/hour ($21.933/hour after pay structure increases on June 29, 2026)

This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains daily operations of the office, including answering phones, directing and answering inquiries, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Serves as initial contact for ethics complaints and provides guidance to the complainant on proper process and procedure.
  • Logs complaints and tracks through entire process, ensuring resolution.
  • Processes criminal history background checks for teacher applicants, and provides support to teacher certification staff.
  • Assists with processing of pre-student teacher requests.
  • Prepares outgoing mail and communications, designs forms, brochures, and other materials.
  • Processes expense reimbursement documents, direct purchase authorizations, purchase requisitions, travel authorizations, etc.
  • Collaborates with other Office Associates to carry out clerical functions and processes in support of the department.
  • Maintains regular & reliable attendance, possesses a valid driver’s license and travels independently, and works in a variety of settings.

Working Conditions and Travel:

This position requires approximately 100% of work time spent in an office environment. There is no expected overnight travel.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent combination of education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

Preferred Qualifications: Postsecondary education related to the essential functions of the position. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel. Familiarity with government agencies and legal offices.
