Responsible for the operations and administration of a medical office(s). Ensures office is running smoothly by supervising office staff, hires, terminates, and trains employees, and oversees the billing portion of the office. Responsible for ordering supplies, oversight of housekeeping and following policy and procedure in adhering to office compliance requirements. Position will require knowledge of service agreements which apply to location or locations as well as an ability to market Health and Wellness for Midland Health.
SHIFT & SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
• Maintains an orderly and efficient office routine
• Administers established guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary
• Provides coverage as needed or on a regular basis
• Works closely with Physician and with Agencies who have contracted for services with the Health and Wellness Clinic
• Review Athena EHR Workflow Dashboard for necessary daily action
• Coordinate and Approve provider billings, reviewing for proper CPT Codes, ICD-10 coding, and logic
• Coordinate and manage Medical Records requests
• Coordinate and manage employee schedules: clinic open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
• Ordering office supplies; review and management of medical supply orders
• Answering and resolving patient issues and complaints
• Answering emails
• Working out insurance issues with patient referrals
• Working with physician in creating policies unique to Health & Wellness
• Planning for school athletic physicals, flu clinics, biometric testing, enlisting new client service agreements
• Attendance of meetings when requested with Cory, Steve, Kathy, City of Midland, MISD, Practice Manager meetings, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor Degree a plus
• Management and Coding experience
• Knowledge of Biometric Testing
