Key Accountabilities

Job Title

Important Tasks / Activities / Outcomes

Safety

·         Demonstrate proper safety awareness and mitigate safety concerns in the field.

·         Participate in daily tailgate meetings to enhance safety protocols.

Surveying and Prospecting

·         Assist Geologists with geochemical and (rarely) geophysical survey activities.

Core Processing

·         Assist with core processing, including geotechnical logging, sampling, core photography, specific gravity measurements, core cutting, and sample shipping in collaboration with Geologists-in-Training and Geologists on-site.

Mapping and Prospecting

·         Assist Geologists with geological surveying and mapping. Analyze and collect rock samples in the field.

·         Compile and organize data collected in the field.

Quality Assurance

·         Ensure the quality of data captured during programs meets company standards.

·         Must have completed a minimum of 2 years out of a 4-year Degree in Engineering or Geoscience

Experience

·         None required

Designations & Certifications

·         Standard First Aid and CPR level C certified

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·         Work under close supervision with development professionals in the field.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, emphasizing agility and collaboration.

·         Familiarity with Microsoft Office and geological software (ArcGIS, 3D modelling software & statistical applications). 

·         Familiarity and application of the Dahrouge Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Plan (must be reviewed and signed during orientation).
