Job Description

Qualifications: 


Teaching candidates must be able to monitor student progress and communicate progress with the student and parents while assisting with content-related support as needed.


 


Candidates must hold a valid 6-8 Missouri reading certification in the required content area for the duration of the summer program for all positions. 


   


Dates of Summer Learning include:



  • Staff PD and Workdays on June 5th-June 8th, 2026

  • Student learning from June 9th-July 2nd, 2026

  • Contract Time Mon-Thurs 7:45am-12:15pm

  • NO FRIDAYS & No School June 19th (Juneteenth observed)

  • Staff are paid for days worked/hourly; no pay for days not worked

  • Prior to June 5th each site will have staff meetings and collaborative planning time for up to an additional 6 hours of pay to be determined by the Administrative Intern

  • Positions are contingent upon enrollment


Compensation:



  • The School District of University City offers a competitive salary of $32-$34/hr for the summer Reading Interventionist


Pay Dates:



  • Days worked June 5th-June 18th will be paid on June 26th

  • Days worked June 22nd-July 2nd will be paid on July 10th
