    Minimum Requirements: 
    New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education

    Desired Qualifications: 
    Knowledge of the New York State Alternate Assessment Performance Indicators

    Experience successfully teaching students with disabilities



    Position Summary/Responsibilities: 

    Plan and deliver specially designed instruction to students with disabilities

    Implement and deliver special education programs

    Progress monitor IEP goals

    Collaborate with related service providers to share student progress and address concerns

    Communicate with families on a regular basis to share progress and address concerns

    Develop students' IEPs and participate in CSE meetings

    Collect and analyze student data for the purposes of progress reporting on IEPs and student report cards

    Administer formative and summative assessments for purposes of instructional planning and progress monitoring

    Provide direction and guidance to support staff working in the classroom

    Participate in staff meetings and in Professional Learning Communities as well as engage in professional learning
