Lan Premise is an Assembly department that makes everything from hardware and mounting bracket kits to loaded fiber optic units with up to 288 fibers installed.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Ability to take and follow directions
- Basic math skills
- Work well both independently and in team atmosphere
- Physically fit to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to work full shift while standing
- Driven to meet attendance standards
- Ability to build and box units according to jobs & prints
- Use of basic hand and air tools, such as drill, hand driver, ratchet, & rivet gun
- Visually & physically verify function and quality of work
- Inventory control
- Basic fiber assembly – 6 – 12 fibers per unit
- Perform all other duties as assigned to by Management
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent may be required
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Must be able to use hand tools and products such as a heat sealer, tape dispenser, and box cutter.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Understand and support company policies and procedures.
- Safety conscious behavior
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to work with various types of assembly constraints with guidance
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs frequently
- Squat, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours per day
- Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time
Work Site Environment
- Must be able to work in a 55–85-degree Fahrenheit work environment
