Not every hospitality role gives you the chance to take real ownership of how a venue runs day to day.
The Role
At odd saint, we’re building a venue that people feel connected to; a neighbourhood eatery where great coffee, fresh food, and a buzzing daytime atmosphere come together to create something special. It’s a place locals return to, and a place the team is proud to be part of.
We’re looking for an experienced Venue Manager, or a strong Assistant Manager ready to step up, to lead the team, take ownership of the venue, and continue building on what makes odd saint what it is.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be right in the middle of it, leading service, supporting your team, and setting the tone every day.
You’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the venue, but just as importantly, how it feels, for both your team and your guests.
You’ll:
- Lead, support, and develop your team day to day
- Create a positive, consistent, high-performing culture
- Keep operations running smoothly across front and back of house
- Use systems and reporting (Loaded Reports, Operandio, IdealPOS etc) to stay on top of performance
- Manage wages, stock, and costs to keep the business on track
- Deliver a guest experience that feels warm, genuine, and consistent every time
About FHG
odd saint is part of Future Hospitality Group, a group that puts real focus on people, standards, and long-term growth.
We believe in developing leaders, not just filling roles. That means clear expectations, strong systems, and ongoing support, but also the trust to run your venue and lead your team.
About you
You might already be a Venue or Restaurant Manager, or you might be an Assistant Manager who knows you’re ready for more.
Either way, you’ll:
- Be a strong leader who brings people with you
- Care about your team and the environment you create
- Be organised, reliable, and across the detail
- Understand the numbers and take ownership of results
- Be comfortable using systems and processes to stay on track
- Take pride in doing things well, consistently
Our Values
At FHG, our values are simple but important:
Culture. Collaboration. Aspirational. Communication. Consistency.
They show up in how we work together, how we lead, and how we run our venues.
Why This Role
There are plenty of hospitality roles in Queenstown. What makes this one different is the balance of support and autonomy.
You won’t be left to figure things out on your own, but you also won’t be micromanaged. You’ll have the structure, systems, and backing to succeed, along with the space to lead with confidence.
It’s a role where you can:
- Step into real responsibility and lead from the front
- Build a team you’re genuinely proud of
- Continue to grow as a leader
- Be part of a group that is building something long-term
