About the Role
We’re looking for a detail‑driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing customer collections, resolving billing discrepancies, and partnering cross‑functionally with Sales, Account Management, and Billing to maintain strong customer relationships and healthy cash flow.
This position is ideal for someone who is numbers‑oriented, organized, and confident communicating with customers, while juggling high‑volume accounts and data.
What You’ll Do
- Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to collect outstanding balances
- Monitor and follow up on past‑due accounts to ensure timely payment
- Document collection activity and customer communication accurately
- Build positive customer relationships to resolve payment issues
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Billing to resolve disputes
- Research and correct billing discrepancies and misapplied payments
- Prepare custom account statements
- Work with large data sets in Excel using Pivot Tables and V‑Lookups
- Assist with Cash Applications as needed
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of Accounts Receivable and B2B collections experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Proven success collecting on past‑due accounts
- High‑volume email experience
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Solid math and data‑entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience working across multiple databases or entities
- 5+ years of Accounts Receivable and B2B collections experience
