Summary

 

Handle both the initial shipping and any returns or replacements of items within the E-commerce Department.  When necessary, E-commerce Shipping Associate will also cross-train and participate in other aspects of the business, particularly on the inventory side.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

Process orders using mobile device to access bar coded item ensuring accuracy

Achieve individual production quota and quality goals consistently.

Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs

Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped

Affix proper postage to each package in preparation for shipping

Contact carrier with any special scheduling needs

 

Ancillary Job Functions

 

Transport auction items to and from warehouse and storage area.

Set up pallets, boxes, and totes for shipment of items to stores.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and update supplies as needed.

Adhere to safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions or actions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience – Equivalent education, training and experience will be considered.

 

High school diploma/GED preferred

One year or less of related experience required; retail experience helpful.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and employees.

Ability to operate a computer to scan and ship merchandise.

Ability to physically sort and transport material from one work area to another.

Clear verbal communication skills and ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to organize and prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.

Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in difficult or stressful situations.

 

Work Environment

 

General warehouse conditions.  Exposed to moderate noise levels.

 

Physical Abilities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

 

Able to stand, walk, bend, push, reach, and do repetitive motion for extended periods of time.

Regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds; heavier lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally needed.

Regularly lift heavy containers using manual pallet jacks.

Regularly transport carts of merchandise.

Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
