Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and machinery
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers is preferred
  • Excellent visual acuity (with or without correction)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience in reloading, ballistics, or related fields is a plus

Physical Demands

Working conditions require great mobility.  Must be able to consistently move/maneuver weights of 35 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift weights of 35 to 45 pounds. Other physical aspects require bending, stooping, squatting and standing on concrete floors, which are often wet, and doing so for long periods at a time. Also required to climb ladders, retrieve materials from storage, etc.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibrations.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

APPLICANT NOTICE

This position as a Manufacturing Technician begins status as “Introductory Trainee” for 60 consecutive days during which time Supervisory staff will evaluate whether the employee is suited for the position.  If the employee is determined to be suitable for the job, status will then advance to “Regular Employee” on the first of the month following the 60-day introductory period and Company benefits will commence.

 

Assignment is on first, 5:00am- 1:30pm or second shift, 1:00pm-9:30pm. Base pay is $20 an hour with and added 10% shift differential on second shift for a total of $22 an hour. 

 

Additionally, the successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate machinery, tools, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products
  • Record accurate production data and assist with inventory processes
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support other departments as needed
  • Operate brass preparation machines and brass weight sorters
  • Set up and operate ammunition loading machines
  • Perform basic maintenance, minor repairs, and machine adjustments
  • Participate in monthly and year-end inventory activities

 

HOURS

Monday - Friday

1st Shift: 5:00am- 1:30pm

2nd Shift: 1:00pm-9:30pm
